Description

Levocetirizine and Amobroxol Tablet is available with the branding “ALTRIZ-A” and is a drug for respiration, applied in treating signs related to chronic bronchitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), allergic rhinitis, and infections of the respiratory tract, e.g., sneezing, cough, watery eyes, and runny nose. COPD refers to a collection of diseases affecting the lungs and characterised mostly by emphysema (shortness of breath) and chronic bronchitis (irritation of the lining of your bronchial tubes). Allergic rhinitis is an inflammation of the nose due to an allergen, e.g., pollen, dust, mould, or animal skin flakes from some animals.

Levocetirizine and Amobroxol Tablet is a combination of two drugs: Levocetirizine (antihistamine) and Ambroxol (mucolytic agent). Levocetirizine is an antihistamine (anti-allergic) medication that decreases the action of histamine, a chemical compound that induces allergy symptoms such as a runny nose and skin rash. It is employed to cure and alleviate symptoms, including watery eyes, runny nose, itchy eyes/nose, sneezing, itching and swelling due to chronic urticaria (hives). Ambroxol is an ‘expectorant’ that encourages the production of sputum/cough. It is also a ‘mucolytic agent’ that thins sputum and facilitates easier breathing.
