Description

Faropenem Sodium and Potassium Clavulanate Tablets belong to a class of “Beta-lactam” antibiotics which is used in the treatment of several bacterial infections of the urinary tract, respiratory tract, skin, ears, and nose. Faropenem Sodium contains Faropenem, an antibiotic that kills bacteria  (bactericidal) by inhibiting the formation of the bacterial cell wall (a protective covering) that is necessary for their survival.

Potassium Clavulanate is an inhibitor that reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Amoxicillin against bacteria. Adding the chemical clavulanate potassium to the antibiotic amoxicillin increases the amount of time the antibiotic stays active in the body. This treats your infection but may upset your digestive system by killing healthy gut bacteria as well.
