Description

Cefixime, Ornidazole, and Lactic Acid Bacillus Tablets belong to the group of ‘antibacterial medications,’ primarily used to treat bacterial infections. A bacterial infection is a condition in which harmful bacteria enter, multiply and infect the body. They can target any part of the body and multiply very quickly. These infections vary from minor illnesses like sore throat and ear infections to severe brain infections like meningitis and encephalitis.

Cefixime, Ornidazole, and Lactic Acid Bacillus Tablets contain an antibiotic combination, Cefixime and Ornidazole, primarily used to treat bacterial infections. Cefixime binds to specific penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) located inside the bacterial cell wall, causing the inhibition of the third and last stage of bacterial cell wall synthesis, arresting cell wall assembly resulting in bacterial cell death.

Ornidazole kills other infectious microorganisms in addition to bacteria by damaging their DNA, preventing the bacteria to reproduce or repair by themselves. Lactic Acid Bacillus is a beneficial lactic acid-producing bacteria (good bacteria) that supports the growth of friendly bacteria in the intestine, maintaining a healthy balance of microflora in the gut environment. Lactic Acid Bacillus prevents diarrhoea due to a prolonged intake of lactic acid.
